I and my mother 70 old, plan to vising Singapore then we interest go shopping to Johor Bahru. What you’ve written is very useful as guidance. I just doubt whether the bus transportation is ok for my mother; I am still looking for information on the possibility taking taxi from Singapore (I will stay in a hotel near Bugis) to Johor Bahru shopping malls return.
