I suppose the Singapore version will probably be different from Las Vegas. Personally, I am pretty excited about what is coming, even though I know that it won’t be exactly the same as that city in Nevada. We do need something that is customised for our circumstances.

One thing that will be markedly different is the profile of tourists that we draw here compared to Las Vegas. Singapore gets largely regional and Asian tourists, and these visitors may have slightly different likes and dislikes from the high percentage of Americans that visit Las Vegas. Hopefully, the two IRs that are opening here will be able to cater to their tastes.

Well, I had the benefit of meeting folks from both Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World at Sentosa. From what I gather, the core value proposition of both concepts revolve around providing total entertainment in all its forms – theme parks, museums, aquariums, retail, swimming pool, broadway shows, and world class restaurants. The casino component is just one part of this whole equation, and while it is important from a revenue standpoint, it probably isn’t the only reason for people to visit them.

OK man… If I do get a television set one day, that will be one of the shows I will watch… IF it is still showing that is.

Didn’t know about the CSI series… haha… Must be one of the drawbacks of not having a television set at home. Of course, there are many advantages of not having TV that outweighs those inconveniences… 🙂

Glad that you have many chances to do that. I wish that I can visit Las Vegas one day. I have never been there before.

Yes, I have heard and read and viewed on TV a lot about Vegas. There is just so much hype about its almost “magical” qualities. Its what we call “escapism” in experiential marketing.

Honestly, I am skeptical about the whole idea.

Nothing like looking at dead bodies after work as a form of destress. ^^
